Chili Sauce Tofu

Chili Sauce TofuInspiration this time from South East Asia, where flavorful tofu yields itself to a secret family Ayurvedic recipe to manifest culinary perfection.

Tofu we know is an Asian staple, a great source of calcium and vitamins, in addition to its obvious fame for protein.

The highlight is the chilli sauce, made from a marinade of tomato ketchup, soy sauce, garlic and red chilli flakes. Green onions, so much a part of Asian cooking, are added to the tofu after it is brown and the chilli sauce all mixed in.

Served on a bed of cucumber pieces, and with curled carrots and white sesame seeds on top, the pure visual appeal of this creation merits a meditation of gratitude.
