Pigeon Pea Dal

Pigeon Pea DalPigeon pea or toor dal is a simple classical recipe from India, but one that should truly belong to the world. Pigeon peas are an excellent all round source of protein, essential nutrients, complex carbs and dietary fiber. That makes them a staple in many Indian households.

Our pigeon pea dal here includes tomatoes and is seasoned with an array of Indian spices, including cumin, ginger and turmeric. Throw in some garam masala and dill leaves, and you have a colorful and truly healthy recipe.

But toor dal, more than anything else, is an experience. Evoking memories of home and childhood, and of making and sharing things with the people you love. Memories of fragrant aromas wafting through the air, kids growing tall and healthy on this staple dish, and vibrant colors that brighten your mood.

A taste of true nostalgic goodness.

Testimonials

I feel like I am constantly cradled in a tasty part of my life called AUM Cuisine, people should eat like this everyday

- Amritha

I love Vaidyaji’s AUM Cuisine. It is like eating from the hands of your mother with all the knowledge from an ancient lineage.

- Oana

What I love about AUMcuisine is the overall sense of being restored to a healthy and happy balance on an ongoing basis. Every day and every meal.

The food is mind bogglingly creative, its variety and range quite astonishing. Every meal springs a new revelation, taking me on a little bit of a global excursion to discover new flavors.

Also, I can now practically see how everyday nutrition can be both truly healthy and consistently delicious.

Thanks to this happy convergence, I can almost see how my relationship with food and nutrition is changing, and quite deeply at that. Thank you so much Vaidya Priyanka for enabling this change.
