Indian Pickle

Indian PickleWhen we talk of the pickles of India, seasoned folks know we are talking of the divine manifesting its bliss through taste. These pickles are generally heavy in salt and oil as preservatives, but maKe great accompaniments to entrees or snacks. Every traditional family has its recipes for these magnificent condiments, and our grandmas are usually the holders of these family secrets.

The traditional ritual of making and seasoning pickles would sometimes take days of loving labor, and the rewards were certainly well worth it. But fast forward to today’s super paced world, and you might wonder if we could have a modern, perhaps quicker and healthier version.

In this episode, we have a modern day, authentically healthier version made from granny smith apples. And this flavorful pickle can be made in minutes. A fitting tribute to the traditional Indian pickle!

Testimonials

What I love about AUMcuisine is the overall sense of being restored to a healthy and happy balance on an ongoing basis. Every day and every meal.

The food is mind bogglingly creative, its variety and range quite astonishing. Every meal springs a new revelation, taking me on a little bit of a global excursion to discover new flavors.

Also, I can now practically see how everyday nutrition can be both truly healthy and consistently delicious.

Thanks to this happy convergence, I can almost see how my relationship with food and nutrition is changing, and quite deeply at that. Thank you so much Vaidya Priyanka for enabling this change.
